How to make extra money as a stay at home

f you are the type stay at home mom that is used to working out of the home, having nothing to do but take care of children can drive you crazy. 
With the technology advancements, you can now become a full time stay at home mom and still have an income. In this post, we discuss some of the activities you can engage in that could allow you to make some extra money as a stay at home mom.
Although most of these activities are online-based, it is possible for stay at home moms to make extra money doing other activities they love or creating products for sale. Let’s take a look at some activities that you can engage in to bring in some extra income.

Get paid for your opinion

Do you know you could get paid for your opinion?Companies seek people to buy their products and offer an unbiased opinion on a number of things.

Become a blogger

You can set up a blog and talk to the world about your parenting journey. Someone out there needs to hear about your challenges, triumphs and how you cope with certain issues in your parenthood.
You can place products in the blog and sell to these people or become an affiliate of a bigger website and get paid commission for promoting their items. If you are good at teaching, you can tutor students online or help them with their homework at a fee. If you know more than one language, you may find this to be an asset you can make some money from by tutoring others online.
Some of the best tutoring companies are VIP Kid.com, Tutor.com, and Teachaway.com. Keep in mind with these jobs you usually need a Bachelors, a little teaching experience, and a home office. Get freelancing work

Are you good in writing, editing, transcription, web design or related technical work? You can apply to become a freelancer and get hired for gigs right in the comfort of your home. Companies such as Fiverr and Upwork allow you to bid on jobs and hiremymom.com even has jobs such as this.

MLM

If you find a product that you love you might as well get paid to use it and sell it! Multi-level marketing (MLM) companies get a bad rap as they are recognized as pyramid schemes, but in this day and time, that is not the case. There are thousands of people (including me!) who make a full-time salary ($2000 or more a month) by selling products they love. Some of the most well-known companies include Rodan and Fields, ItWorks, 31Bags, BeautyCounter, and ColorStreet just to name a few. I personally know someone from each of these companies that makes a decent income.

Babysit at home

This does not require you to go online. If you are good with kids, you can always start babysitting for others at a fee. Busy mothers can drop their kids at your place and pick them later. This will give you a chance to bond with the kids and make money on the side.

Become a VA

You can also choose to become a virtual assistant (VA) for companies seeking to outsource their administrative tasks. As a VA, you will be responsible for some specific projects and this could turn out to be a fully-fledged career, with benefits.  You can find VA jobs on Hiremymom.com, RemoteCO.com, and Indeed.com.
